Spring Beginnings

Spring is here and the newness of what God offers is ever present. It took me a while to move back into this space. The challenges of taking care of the elderly prove to be a learning experience. As I walk this journey I am reminded constantly that I am not alone.

I have angels that walk with me. They great me with the changes of the season. I am comforted by the thought of knowing that I am being watched and nurtured by the experience of life.

I have begun a new project that will take me to a new level in my learning. The biographical kind of project is exciting. Sharing this with new people and praying daily that it will come together with the vision I see in my head.

During this lenten season I am reminded and thankful for all the blessing I have been given. Even when I felt I was undeserving. God felt otherwise and I am humble by the moment.

Peace,

Camilla

The Winter of the moment

As I sit in my office, I am reminded that for some the winter is  a bitter period. They hide themselves away and become sad, during this season.
The energy they have during other seasons seems to fade.

There are times when the winter raps itself around you and you feel it.
I caught myself yesterday, wishing for spring to come.
Thinking about the tulips and other beautiful flowers that will be coming.

The colors will be vibrant and beautiful.
There is a reason and a season for everything.
Waiting in the winter of the moment is the hardest part.
There is enough warmth in the heart to last the season.
Be still and embrace the moment, for it lasts just a little while.

Teaching and Respecting

The moment you are able to see their need to learn it is really something special.

It requires something special in order to see the needs of your students.

I sometimes find that there are some teachers in the world, that only want to be there because they are paid to be there.

Teaching means respecting the need for the student to learn.

There is something fantastic about being able to give the student the best of your self.

When teaching, do you walk into the classroom with a smile? Are you ready for the questions that they might want to ask?

I am ready willing and able to listen to their thoughts and stories to actively engage them in the process of learning.

I am learning by instructing…. I am learning by their questions…. I am learning by the process…

A Change is coming... Are you ready?

The change is coming. It cannot be stopped. It is upon us and nothing we do is going to change that.  What we share in this world should be a common bond. How sad it is to not share something so important. The connection to our maker. We are all God's children no matter what continent we live one. There is one supreme being. It is not us.  The unimaginable happened again. our brothers and sisters in Haiti are in need of all the love and strength we can muster. Are you ready to change your priorities and think of another in need? Are you ready to fore go that cup of coffee to put clothes on the backs of those without. I am ready to fore go the unnecessaries to give others in need a chance at survival. Prayer is consistent for me. I am praying always without ceasing. When I sit I am praying. When I am driving I am praying. When I am having a conversation with someone. I am praying for a miracle. Pray with me each day for guidance and strength, for the poor and lame. For those who cannot find a way out. The change is coming...are you ready to a part of it. Change a life and give www.worldvision.org

Thoughts on the Year

* Merry Christmas *
From the Colchester Gang
Camilla says that change becomes the constant in which all things become true. This has certainly been the case this year for the Ross family. One of the tender moments this year was the passing of Jack’s brother Alan in October. Alan was a beacon for Jack. Alan personified a life well lived, with courage and dignity. His laughter is still heard in the walls of all of our hearts. As we move forward to claim a new year Alan will still be at the forefront of our hearts. The void we all feel will eventually be replaced with a comfort in knowing that he is with us still in all the memories he left behind.

Changing still, Grandma Ross brought her command post to Colchester, and a most welcome addition to the Colchester Gang. J Cinnamon and Muffin each have taken turns welcoming her to the fold, Cinnamon with eating her socks and tissues and with Muffin sleeping on her bed in a very special spot. Grandma has settled in comfortably and has found some nice folks at the senior center that enjoy Bridge as much as herself! She is never to far from a deck of cards and always ready to deal a hand.
Joe is in his senior year at Bacon Academy, hard to believe he is a senior but a senior he is. He still is an avid artist; with one of his works entered into the 53rd regional exhibit this year. Keeping with the artistry, Joe has taken to designing his own line of clothes, which look pretty Rad!

Camilla is going 900mph while teaching accounting at Three Rivers and guiding her theater company (Emerson Theater Collaborative…check it out on line) into its third season. ETC receiving its federally approved non-profit status earlier this year was fantastic news. Camilla and her board have planned a vigorous 2010 schedule which we are sure will find us housing some interesting actors during the course of the year.

Jack is still on the international routes and got to Africa, Africa…. And well Africa! He actually did make it to some other locations but routinely Africa was on the menu. Jack enjoys taking his camera along and regularly captures some neat shots…Google OK3 Photography to see some of his shots.

Mike is doing great in school out west and Jessica is still the diamond lady working hard to make us sparkle.

This year has brought us many blessings but more importantly it has brought us closer together as a family. May the peace of God be with you always, and remember the true reason for the season.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

There are times

There are times that I wish I could start over and get it right the first time. We all think that. However have we ever thought about the lesson to be learned from the mistake. If I could just do it one more time...maybe i could get it right.

I want to learn continuously...shaping and reshaping who I am. Growing into someone better than I was yesterday.  I had some special time with my husband yesterday. We spent the evening having dinner and went to see a movie. The movie I saw was called Blind Side. If you have not seen it...do it. It will change the way you look at others who are not like you. Then you can say.... I don't need to start over...I have learned something new about me. I can start here and now... for today I will be better than I was yesterday, all because I thought before I spoke.

Peace,

Camilla
